PGDay.it ended

PGDay.it is over, it was a really impressive conference with a lot of good talks. The people from the Prato Linux User Group did a really good job. I met many people which i only knew by mail or irc, had some interesting discussions and of course we had fun ;-)

I'm just back from the Prato LUG bar (yeah, they even have a bar, imagine that!). We had a nice meeting right before starting the party: it was all about creating an european user group. I think, we are getting somewhere, people had some nice ideas. Now we just have to transform this ideas into something more usable.

Tomorrow we will use the free day and make a trip to Florence.

You can find all my pictures at: http://andreas.scherbaum.la/pictures/v/events/pgday_it/

If you know the name of the people on the pictures, just add a comment.

The slides for my own talk (about using tablelog for audits) are available at: http://andreas.scherbaum.la/writings/. Especially the italian and french guys did not even know about tablelog and was very interested.

Thanks to mastermind for proofreading.

After two days of great talks, pgday is over. The event also contained a lot of community networking, which to me was more valuable than the talks themselves. But that's mostly because I knew most of the people giving talks in English and what they had to Comments ()
