Pavlo Golub is hosting this month’s PGSQL Phriday. The topic is “PostgreSQL Events”.

While I did speak at many PostgreSQL events in the past and will speak in the future, I would like to use this opportunity to shine some light at the sheer amount of events we have in the community.

Sure, there was a short break for a few months, because you know what happened. At the same time I started interviewing members of the community (and I need to restart this process). One of the questions I ask is:

Which PostgreSQL conferences do you visit? Do you submit talks?

While summarizing all Meetups into one result, I still get 33 PostgreSQL conferences mentioned across all interviews!

The conferences mentioned most are:

There are quite a few more conferences on the list, both community recognized conferences as well as conferences organized by companies.

By now, in 2023, we are back at the old problem: in some months we have multiple good conferences, and it’s hard to decide where to go and where to submit a talk. But in my opinion that’s a good choice to have!
