On November 13th, 2025, we had the PostgreSQL November Meetup in Berlin. Redgate Software hosted us again, this time in a larger meeting room at The Social Hub Berlin. We had two speakers, and very tasty food.
The event space is in Alexanderstraße 40, in Berlin Mitte. just five minutes away from Alexanderplatz. It is a event and gym venue, with several meeting rooms in various sizes, office area and a gym.
Josef Machytka: New features in PostgreSQL 18

- PostgreSQL Person of the Week interview with Josef Machytka
He also brought a new batch of 3D-printed elephants, and everyone can take one.
Daria Nikolaenko: The art of data retention in PostgreSQL
Daria is new in Berlin, and gracefully offered to present her talk about data retention in PostgreSQL.
Snacks
The snacks served during the Meetup were very delicios. Forgot to take a picture at the beginning.
Thank you
The Meetup was mainly organized by Sergey Dudoladov (Zalando). Thank you!
Speaking at a future Berlin PostgreSQL Meetup
The PostgreSQL Meetup group in Berlin exists since 2015, and currently has around 2100 members.
The Meetup group is always looking for speakers, and venues to host a Meetup.
If you are interested in either speaking about a PostgreSQL-related topic, or if your company is interested in hosting a Meetup, please contact the organizers.
A Meetup is an opportunity to test a talk in front of a smaller audience, before presenting it at a conference. There is no time limit at the Meetup, there is enough time for questions, and the feedback is more direct.
If you are unsure if your topic fits, let’s discuss. Here to help. We are also accepting Lightning Talks.
