The motion sensor situation in the bedroom is not satisfying. The sensors don't cover the full area up to the door, which sometimes delays activating the night light when someone walks into the bedroom. So I added a IKEA TRÅDFRI Motion Sensor - after upgrading the firmware.

From time to time our laptops receive firmware updates, by using the Linux Vendor Firmware Service (short: fwupd). This worked fine for a long time, until it didn't. One day I was facing an error message.
